Alright alright alright, let me give you a breakdown of the last week of our adventures:
Uyuni Salt Flats Tour (incredible!)
San Pedro de Atacama biking adventure through La Garganta del Diablo (Maddy fell- just some scrapes thankfully)
26 hour bus ride to Santiago, Chile (this country is so damn LONG)
Foggy days in the allegedly colorful seaside town of Valparaíso
Uyuni is a dried up ocean in the high parts of the Andean mountain range in Bolivia. The ocean dried and left a breathtaking expanse of white salt that is reminiscent of the never ending ocean. Equipped with islands and coral and everything!
On this tour we also got to see some cool colorful lagoons, lots of llamas and vicuña (skinny llama), and lots of flamingos. We also got to take a dip in a hot spring on our last night under the coverage of millions of stars.
Throughout the tour I became convinced that the creators of Star Wars visited this part of the world.
Here’s our pics from Valparaíso! The town is famous for its street art :-)
More pics from our Uyuni tour:
Heading to Santiago for 5 days spent wandering museums, metros, and parks!
Lots of love,
Lauren Kinsey Kuhlman
